The song “U.S.A.” by DA PUMP is so famous in Japan that we often hear it on television. I enjoy how fast-paced it is! The idol group DA PUMP comprises seven members. They have won several international dancing contests and will perform in the nationally televised singing competition “Kouhaku Uta Gassen,” which takes place on December 31 every year.
DA PUMP was inspired by shot dance, which originated in the United States, for “U.S.A.” They may have titled their work U.S.A. because of this. Another factor might be that in Japan, people have positive impressions of the United States. Because America has a large cultural effect on Japan and strong political and economic links with it, the Japanese media typically portrays it favorably.
